Hello there. Lots of new things to report in this latest newsletter, from prints to commissions, Etsy shop and Christmas delivery dates.

Christmas deliveries

Lakeland

First up from my recently completed work is the Lakeland 50/100.

A personal commission for a finisher of the Lakeland 100, hand drawn ink on paper, with illustrated memories from their race.

I’ve also now created a digital illustration based on this, with prints available in my shop.

Both the 50 and 100 routes available as 30cm x 40cm unframed prints.

Dalesman Triathlon

A commission for a previous customer, this time a surprise gift from rather than to them 😃

A hand drawn/painted piece on 56cm x 28cm paper. A little more panoramic than my usual spec, to allow for a nice side-by-side view of each leg of this long distance triathlon event.

West Highland Way

Another new print I have available is this West Highland Way redux. This route was one of the first maps I created a few years ago, and it has been on my list to update as a digital illustration. It’s quite different from the original, but I think has come out nicely with the left to right orientation, some illustrated local wildlife and the all important elevation profile! 🏔

Hardmoors

This one was another personal commission but this time as a digital illustration in itself. A map of the epic Hardmoors 110 mile race along the Cleveland Way, taking in the Cleveland Heritage Coast and North York Moors.

Marathon Majors

Unfortunately Tokyo didn’t happen this year, but the other 5 world majors marathons went ahead, and I have new prints of these all now available as 30cm x 40cm unframed prints. I’ll come back to Tokyo in the spring!

I’ve also created a hand drawn original of the London Marathon - the latest in a series of artworks, a commission that has spanned nearly a couple of years now! Created with ink on this beautiful Khadi handmade cotton paper.

This is the latest piece in “Dan’s Chronicle” - a journal of some of his best memories from hiking to Everest base camp, to backpacking in Central America.

New Etsy store

Something else I’ve been meaning to do for a while is getting some of my work up on Etsy to try and drive some more print sales. This is now live if you’d like to check it out at the link below:
